Astrofotografija Centar IGOR 1

On June 16, 2025, a public lecture and astrophotography workshop titled Marindvor Under the Stars was held at the IGOR Center.

We sincerely thank Professor Hrvoje Mikolčević for his exceptionally engaging lecture, practical guidance, and the field exercise in capturing starry landscapes, the Milky Way, as well as celestial objects such as constellations, planets, and nebulae.

The entire event was space-themed – from the astronomy topic, to the drinks, to the desserts... 💚

With this event, we launched the Marindvor Monday initiative – a series of gatherings with experts from various fields, aimed at improving the quality of life in our community and promoting science.

Science popularization means presenting scientific content in a clear and engaging way, tailored to the audience, in order to make science more accessible to everyone interested. đź’š

We’ll see you again soon – you are warmly invited to join us for Marindvor Monday! 💚

Activities

Summer is the perfect time for learning new things and gaining new skills.
At the Center for Lifelong Learning in Nature, located on a 10-hectare permaculture estate, children have the opportunity to explore forests, meadows, a stream, open-air forest classrooms with a stage, and the rich culture and traditions of our beautiful Slavonia đź’š.

Just steps away are our ecological educational garden, orchard, and honey from our own beehives.
Fresh, homemade food, fruits and vegetables straight from the garden, and endless greenery – everything your child needs. With us, learning comes naturally… 💚

Part of the Center is our holiday house AKORD, equipped with a swimming pool and a fully outfitted hall for workshops and educational programs. There’s also table tennis, plenty of board games, educational tools, sports equipment and more – creating ideal conditions for reading, cooking, tidying up and learning in joy, regardless of age.

We learn together, create together, swim and play — all together.
At our media workshops, which are excellent for building self-confidence, we write, imagine, laugh and express ourselves — all together.

We cherish every child's uniqueness and personal needs — with the scent of freshly baked rolls or cake in the air.
Evenings are spent enjoying board games and long conversations.

Togetherness is healing — for all of us. Especially for our children. 💚

The School of Beautiful Reading invites you to the best summer camp in the Golden Valley of Slavonia!

This is a summer camp for children who want to enjoy learning to read or refining their reading skills — in the gentle and welcoming environment of Slavonia, in our educational alley, a space where curiosity, creativity, and teamwork come together.

We will knead bread, bake rolls, prepare delicious cakes, play the role of young radio hosts, and build birdhouses!
All of it with laughter, friendship, and plenty of new connections.

Camp Educators

The educators of the School of Beautiful Reading Summer Camp are trained professionals from the School, led by Adrijana Ĺ kandro, with experience from over 60 camps in the past eight years.

Adrijana Ĺ kandro
Forever a little girl — dressed in pink from head to toe, in love with plants, animals, the sea, and nature.
She adores cats and is moved by love, kind words, and warm hugs. Her greatest joys are children’s smiles, a tiny watermelon growing in the garden, or helping a little bee with dried wings take flight again.

Children see her as "one of their own" from the very first moment.
She swapped the radio microphone and stage lights for reading in the shade of a walnut tree, sitting on the grass, and offering children a joyful, different view of life.

She says: “I wouldn’t trade this for anything! Every small victory of a child shines brighter than the biggest spotlight.”

To parents, she is a comfort, a support, a spark of hope.
To children, as they love to say — the best aunt ever.
Former radio host of Narodni Radio (Adrijana Tolj), today she is simply their Adry.
